Equals

In 2016, David Selby appeared in Equals, a futuristic film from producer Ridley Scott, director Drake Doremus, and writer Nathan Parker. Filming took place in Japan and Singapore in the summer of 2014. Other performers included Kristen Stewart (Twilight), Nicholas Hoult (X-Men), and Guy Pearce (Iron Man 3).

According to Variety,

Equals is set in a world where there is no greed, no poverty, no violence, and no emotion. But a new disease is threatening everyone: SOS, or Switched-On-Syndrome, activating depression, sensitivity, fear, love — and once a person is overtaken, they are sent away and never seen again.

The film was reviewed by Variety at the Venice Film Festival.

The film premiered in the United States in April 2016 at the Tribeca Film Festival. It was released in American theaters on July 15, 2016.

Equals is available on DVD and Blu-ray from retailers such as Amazon (paid links).

The first theatrical trailer for the film was released on April 18, 2016. David appears very briefly in it. The trailer along with still images from the film can be viewed in the slideshow below.
