Grave Secrets: The Legacy of Hilltop Drive

In 1992, David Selby co-starred with Patty Duke in the made-for-television movie Grave Secrets: The Legacy of Hilltop Drive. The movie follows the struggles of a family who moves into a new house and encounters strange occurrences such as toilets flushing by themselves and ghostly apparitions. Eventually, they learn that their home was built on an old African-American burial ground.

While the plot does resemble Poltergeist, Grave Secrets is based on a purportedly true story, as recounted by Ben Williams and Jean Williams in The Black Hope Horror: The True Story of a Haunting. The book is out of print, but copies are available on Amazon (paid link).

David portrays Shag Williams, the name used for Jean Williams' husband in the film. Patty Duke is Jean Williams.

The movie has been released on DVD (paid link).
